At Tspeaksnyc, we are dedicated to empowering young people and their families through relatable, accessible mental health education and programming. We specialize in working with youth aged 11-25, focusing on underserved and minority communities, because we believe that every voice deserves to be heard and supported.
Founded by Tiyanna Washington, a NYC-based licensed social worker and youth mental health advocate, Tspeaksnyc grew from a passion for bridging the gap between mental health resources and the communities that need them most. With years of experience in community service and mental health advocacy, Tiyanna saw an urgent need for affordable, culturally responsive mental health programming tailored to the unique challenges of adolescents and young adults.
Since its inception, Tspeaksnyc has become a trusted resource, offering workshops, training, and individualized support that empowers young people to find their voice and thrive. Our work has been recognized in outlets such as the Long Island Herald and NY1’s Queens Person of the Week, and our research contributions have been published by the National Center for Permanency and Family Connections.
Today, Tspeaksnyc is more than just a business—it’s a movement. Together, we are creating safe spaces for teens, young adults, and families to connect, heal, and grow.

“Tspeaksnyc belief is that young girls & women deserve to have safe spaces specifically curated for them to learn about all things mental health related, so we can cultivate communities of generational healing.”
